Clare has been involved in the Hospitality and Tourism industry for over 26 years. She has been fortunate enough to have worked in all aspects of the industry from gaming, bars, fine dining to casual restaurants along with a mixture of accommodation from backpackers, lodges to 5 star Hotels both in New Zealand and off shore.
Clare graduated from the Icehouse Business Management program and has previously owned and successfully operated resort management rights, boutique lodge and a number of restaurants. She is a major contributor to local and regional tourism activities and has previously sat as Regional Chair for the Nelson Marlborough region with the NZ Hotel Council. Clare currently holds the role of National President for Hospitality New Zealand.

With 18 years’ experience in the New Zealand travel industry, Nona is a familiar face within the Inbound Travel Trade. Since arriving in Nelson in 2001, Nona has worked in sales and marketing roles for a wide range of businesses within the tourism industry and has developed an in-depth understanding of how the travel trade distribution system operates from within. Nona has been with Capstone since March 2016 and has seen the portfolio grow from six clients to more than 15 and diversify from accommodation into the activities sector. Developing trade ready product, up-skilling their clients’ to understand the demands of the travel trade and representing them at various national and international sales missions and trade shows such as TRENZ is Nona’s main focus.
Nicole’s expertise lies in her many years’ experience working in most aspects of hotel operations giving her the ability to look at clients strategic objectives and align them with the operational capabilities to deliver. From establishing stringent house-keeping procedures through to proactive yield management, Nicole’s’ passion for systems and processes is clear. Working for some of New Zealand’s largest hotel chains over the last 18 years has given Nicole an exceptional insight into best practice and the ability to implement the appropriate software and systems for each property based on the owners budget and needs. Providing day to day operational support for hotel staff and owners is key for Nicole, from troubleshooting to proactively analysing the ongoing performance and providing avenues to ensuring that the asset is yielding to its maximum ability.

With multiple years selling New Zealand under her belt, Ali Hampton is a well-known travel industry face on her home turf in the UK. In 2009, after eight years working in Product for Austravel and selling New Zealand holidays to the Brits, Ali set up her own representation company ‘simplynz’. Representing boutique businesses with a real point of difference is Ali's passion and her ability to drive sales and grow profile for the companies she represents is proven.
Capstone partnered with simplynz in early 2018 to ensure that their clients are represented by a trusted and widely respected partner in the UK, Europe and the US. Ali’s long-standing relationships with some of the northern hemisphere’s most proactive and creative sellers on New Zealand is invaluable to ensuring growth for our clients.
Brydie graduated from Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting and now has 10 years’ experience working for a wide range of sectors including hospitality and local government organisations. Brydie is passionate about analysing performance & improving efficiency within businesses making her an asset Capstone and its partners.
After a number of years living and working in the UK, Brydie returned home to Nelson in 2016 and now spends her spare time exploring the local National Parks and trails enjoying everything her home turf has to offer such as kayaking, hiking and cycling.
